Carl Sandburg College is now one of the first community colleges in the country where students can apply using the Common App. The move comes as part of a pilot partnership with the Illinois Community College Board. Aaron Frey, Coordinator of Marketing at Sandburg, explains what the Common App is.
“Basically, it’s a way for people to save time as they’re applying for different colleges. If you have a son or a daughter who is applying for multiple different schools utilizing the Common App, will allow you to just streamline that process.”
Sandburg is joined by Sauk Valley Community College, Rend Lake College, and Black Hawk College in accepting applications through the platform for the upcoming school year. Students can still apply the traditional way at sandburg.edu/apply.
