The Warren County Jail is currently in the search for potential contractors to build the new Warren County Jail. Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards shares where they are at in that process.

“I realize we kind of had to start over again with selecting a contractor. We’re in the process of doing that. We heard from three companies, that submitted an interest or a proposal, one of which was HCS, and we talked to them last week, we’ll be talking to River City this week, and then sometime in the next week or so, we’ll be talking with Freeman Johnson. We are talking to them, telling us what our needs are and, just kind of seeing where they land with us on a scoring system.”

Sheriff Edwards also mentioned that once the new jail is built, the department will be hiring more Correctional Officers. Those interested in applying should stop by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 121 North A Street for more information.
