Chicago Cubs starter Matthew Boyd is joining his teammates Kyle Tucker and Pete Crow-Armstrong in the All-Star Game. The southpaw was named a reserve for the National League in this month’s All-Star Game. Boyd is 9-and-3 with a 2.52 ERA this season.

The St. Louis Cardinals Brendan Donovan is heading to his first career All-Star Game. The Cardinals second baseman was named as reserve for the National League team yesterday. Donovan is St. Louis’ only All-Star selection this year. The 28-year-old is hitting .296 with seven home runs and 32 RBI’s this season.

Chicago White Sox pitcher Shane Smith is going to the MLB All-Star Game for the first time in his career. The right-hander was named a reserve for the American League. Smith is the first White Sox rookie pitcher to make an All-Star Game roster. He is 3-and-7 with a 4.20 ERA this season.

The All-Star game will be played July 15th in Atlanta.
