MONMOUTH, ILL. (07/15/2025) Monmouth College had 150 student-athletes, representing 18 sports, named Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference on Tuesday. The Scots had 37 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference in multiple sports for the Midwest Conference, resulting in 200 Academic All-Conference selections. Monmouth had 13 students honored in three sports and 24 in two sports.
Of those 200 MWC honorees, 105 represent women’s teams while 95 come from men’s teams. Football had the most from an individual sport with 23 selections,The women’s track & field team had 18 selections from both indoor and outdoor season for 36 overall selections. Men’s track & field had 31 overall selections with 16 outdoor and 15 indoor. Women’s soccer (17), softball (15), baseball (14) and volleyball (12) were also in double digits.
The Scots had 75 selections from fall sports, 57 from winter sports and 68 from spring sports. In addition to these MWC Academic All-Conference selections, the Scots put four men’s golfers on the SLIAC Academic All-Conference team last month plus one women’s golfer on the SLIAC team in the fall semester. Overall, Monmouth had 205 Academic All-Conference honorees in the two conferences for which they participate in athletics for the 2024-25 academic year and every sport had at least one selection. This total is an increase from the 178 honors last year.

Last month, Briggs Bossert, Luke Foster, Ganon Greenman and Thomas Henson were named SLIAC Academic All-Conference for men’s golf. Greenman was also honored in the MWC for basketball making him the only two-conference recipient in 2024-25. The women’s golf team placed Annalyn Lovell on the SLIAC All-Conference team in the fall season.
Representing the league’s 18 sponsored sports, the MWC Academic All-Conference team features 928 award winners participating in men’s sports, 743 women’s sports participants and 350 multi-sport athletes. The criteria to be recognized as an Academic All-Conference selection includes having satisfied a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.33, which is calculated only in the awarded academic year. MWC Academic All-Conference honors are announced
annually after the posting of spring term grades.
