The Monmouth Fire Department is currently in the process of hiring new personnel. Assistant Chief Craig Cozadd shares the details.
“We’re in the process right now. We had just had our tests couple weeks ago, and we’ve got a candidate list. We’re looking at sending several to Academy. We’ve had a lot of lot of people retire and big changes going on at the department. New guys are always exciting. They bring excitement to the department. A lot of energy, a lot of you know, and it’s just, we’re pretty pumped about it. So in the next few weeks, you’ll hear more about who’s been who’s been offered the job, and that kind of thing. The list just came out. So they’re in a preliminary stages of that, but they will go into fall Academy at IFSI in Champaign, which will be 12 weeks.”
