We’re officially less than a month away from the return of Monmouth-Roseville Titans football. The Titans are looking to build on recent success as they chase a fifth straight playoff appearance this fall. Monmouth-Roseville is coming off an impressive (8-2) campaign that ended in heartbreaking fashion. The Titans fell to Paxton-Buckley-Loda 22-20 in the opening round of the playoffs, giving up the game-winning touchdown in the final minute. Now, they’re focused on coming back even stronger after another productive off-season. Head Coach Jeremy Adolphson says the team has had a strong summer filled with workouts and scrimmages.
The Titans still have one scrimmage left before Week 1, August 22nd at Galesburg taking on the Silver Streaks. Monmouth-Roseville will officially kick off the regular season on the road the next week, August 29th in Aledo, battling the Mercer County Golden Eagles in a TRAC cross-division match up.. The Titans opened last season with a 50-14 win over Mercer County, outscoring the Golden Eagles 44-6 in the second half after trailing 8-6 at halftime.
