The Warren County 4-H General Show Fair was held on June 28, 2025, at the Warren County Farm Bureau Auditorium. The event showcased the creativity, dedication, and rich mix of strengths our local 4-H youth possess. This experience marks the culmination of a year’s worth of study and work in their chosen field.

Youth participants proudly presented projects by speaking with a community judge about the process and results of their course of study. 4-H members select their project from an extensive list of options, including areas such as science, agriculture, nutrition, textiles, visual arts, and natural resources. Our volunteer judges are made up of volunteers from the community who are expert in the given project area. Judges assessed each entry based on established criteria to determine their results. Ribbons are awarded to each participant based on these evaluations.

Shelby Calrson, Extension Youth Development Educator, commented, “Our 4-H shows are a chance for members to demonstrate their mastery in an area that they have been studying all year long. This year, the members certainly achieved that goal. The projects these members completed required talent and skill that I can only hope to achieve one day.”

Standout entries were chosen to represent Warren County at the Illinois State Fair 4-H General Project Show—a respected venue where youth showcase their talents and hard work to audiences from across the state.
