Students will be headed back to school this month, so the Knox County Health Department is shifting their attention to back to school. Erin Olson, Director of Public Health Information and Community Engagement, shares what the biggest focuses are, as well as details on the important walk-in clinic taking place today and tomorrow.
“Our biggest thing we’re focused on right now is back to school immunizations, getting those kids in for their vaccines, for their different grade levels that they need, we don’t want anyone to be excluded the first day of school for not having those. We’re also focusing on school physicals that kids need to get in and get those. On August 5 and 6, we’re going to do walk in vaccine clinics. So you can bring your kids in on those 5 and 6 of August, from 8-4, walk in and get their school vaccines and get everything up to date, and be on your way you.”
The Knox County Health Department is located at 1361 West Freemont Street in Galesburg.
