The annual Site Selector Forum and Consular Corps Reception is taking place next month in Chicago, where attendees learn the latest practices, trends, and strategies to implement in their own communities, reports Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:
“This is an industry event for economic developers. This first one is called a Site Selectors Forum and this is a cool opportunity that a bunch of economic developers from Illinois will be gathering to hear a roundtable discussion of active site selectors and consultants that give us an opportunity to ask them the trends they are seeing, what best practices other economic developers in other states are doing, what are the challenges in the market, and what kinds of things are on the horizon. It is an event put on by the Illinois Economic Development Association,” states Springer.
“Right after the Site Selector Forum, we host a reception for members of the Chicago Trade Consulate Corp. Those are folks that are representatives from different countries all around the world that are working on trade in the United States,” Springer adds.
The Site Selector Forum and reception for industry partners will be held Tuesday, September 23rd.
