Building Beds, Building Hope: Monmouth Rotary Club Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Share

The Monmouth Rotary Club recently partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to construct twin size beds for children in need, explains Club President Sarah Grant:

“We partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. That is a national organization but they have local chapters and there is a local chapter in LaHarpe. What they do is partner with local organizations to build twin size beds that are then given away to children in need,” Grant states.

“Their service area covers Warren, McDonough, Fulton, Schuyler, they go into Iowa a little bit, and Henderson County as well. Anyone that has a kid that needs a bed can request one online, it is free. They get the bed, they get the bedding, and they get the mattress. It is a really, really awesome program,” adds Grant.

With the motto ‘No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in our Town,’ Sleep in Heavenly Peace is currently leading their 7th Annual Bunks Across America event through September 13th.
