To go along with Prime Beef Festival week, the Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau hosts their annual 4th Grade Ag Day, where students rotate through stations to learn about different agriculture topics. Manager Ashlyn Quinn explains this day builds from the 3rd Grade Ag Day held in the spring:

“We try to build from our 3rd Grade Ag Day that they go to in that previous March, then to our 4th Grade Ag Day they attend in September. So, we have a lot of the same general topics that they covered in 3rd Grade, but then we expand on them. One example is the beef station, at 3rd Grade Ag Day it is a lot about products and by-products of beef and then when we go to 4th Grade, sometimes we are lucky enough to have a calf there and talk about how to prepare it for show. We also have dairy, sheep, machinery, corn, soybeans, and then soil and fertilizer.”

4th Grade Ag Day will be held Thursday, September 4th at Fairview Center Church.
