Registration Open for the New 4-H Year

Share

The new 4-H year started September 1st, meaning the new programming year has officially kicked off. Shelby Carlson, 4-H Youth Development Educator, shares that for anyone considering joining 4-H, signing up early offers the most opportunities to youth.

“We welcome anyone- 4-H has a place for kids 5 through 18. Very often we see kids who get started very young and they stay with us for 10 plus years- and we love those members, but it’s always a great opportunity when you can get some of our older youth connected, because they see the value and they see the opportunity 4-H provides, like additional contest opportunities, additional scholarships, additional conferences and things.”

To sign up for 4-H, visit the Illinois Extension Website.
