Mrs. Rebecca Ann “Becky” Thorne, 67, of Victoria, Illinois died at 4:04 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, Illinois.

She was born June 21, 1958, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Herman and Francis Caroline (Dilley) Rastetter. She married John F. Lynch and had two children. She then married Phillip G. Happ and had three more children. She later married Duane Thorne on May 12, 2007, in Harrison, Kentucky at the Blue Bell Chapel and combined their families into one.

Surviving is her husband, Duane Thorne of Victoria, three sons, Shawn (and Maggie Fisher) Lynch of Brimfield, Illinois, Kyle (and Heather Rapczak) Happ of Galesburg, and Cory (and Sarah James) Happ of Wataga, Illinois, five daughters, Heather Lynch of Victoria, Nicole (and Colby Bloomgren) Happ of Wataga, Nellie (and Lowell) Carlson of Rio, Illinois, Kerrie (and Nolan) Martinson of Victoria, and Stephanie (and Sam) Cain of Dahinda, Illinois, two sisters, Sharon Hafner of California and Sandy St. John of Danville, Indiana, 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and four fur babies, Bella, Baby, Lucy, and Zoey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dog, Chloee.

Becky graduated from Plainfield High School, Plainfield, Indiana in 1976. She continued her education and received her CNA degree. She was a nurse’s assistant for 35 years in several facilities including the Sharon Health Care in Peoria, Illinois. She was also a long-time waitress at the Jubilee Café in Kickapoo, Illinois. She and her husband also operated the Depot Bait and Tackle Shop in Victoria. Becky was a member of Al-Anon in which she truly used as a way of life. She was very spiritual. Becky enjoyed making crafts out of barn wood and using her Cricut and 3D printer. She could turn trash into treasure. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t make. She loved to travel to Mer Rouge, Louisiana with her husband, Duane, where they made many friends. She also enjoyed fishing on the Bayou and feeding the alligators.

As Becky requested, cremation will be accorded.  A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel.  Pastor Chuck Hillman will officiate.  Burial will be in Victoria Cemetery, Victoria, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or Galesburg Rescue Mission.  Online condolences may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
