It’s week 7 of the high school football regular season. The Monmouth-Roseville Titans have a chance to win an outright Three Rivers Athletic Conference Mississippi Division title for the second straight season and enhance their playoff seeding. The Titans host the Spring Valley Hall/Putnam County Red Devil co-op at Coach Dobry Field in Monmouth. Monmouth-Roseville will bring their perfect (6-0) overall record and (4-0) division record into the match up. There’s plenty to play for as far as the Red Devils are concerned, as well. They enter tonight’s game at (3-3) overall and (3-1) in the Mississippi. The Red Devils are tied with Princeton for 2nd place in the standings. A win would get them closer to clinching a playoff berth and get a tie for the division title. Monmouth-Roseville head coach Jeremy Adolphson is well aware of the magnitude of this one.
You can hear the Titans vs. the Red Devils game on Sunny 97.7 WMOI, with the pregame show at 6:30.
Our other game on the Prairie Communications Sports Network tonight has the United Red Storm looking for their first win of the season. United hosts the (2-4) South Fulton Rebels at United High School. It’s the final home game of the season for the Red Storm, therefore, it’s also senior night. United head coach Andrew Goodwin says even though the record might not show it, he’s proud of this year’s seniors for their leadership and who will be a big part of the foundations of the future of the program.
You can hear the United senior night game against South Fulton tonight on AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM. The pregame show will start at 6:30. Both games can be heard on the radio, live online at radiomonmouth.com or on our free 1330 WRAM or 97.7 WMOI apps for your smartphone or tablet. Take a pair of earbuds and listen right from the bleachers.
