The Monmouth-Roseville Titans have officially been crowned champions of the Three Rivers Mississippi Division for the second straight year after a huge win over Spring Valley Hall/Putnam County at Coach Dobry Field. The scoring started out slow in this one, as it took the Titans until about 1:22 left in the first quarter to get on the board with a 34-yard halfback pass from Nick Huston to Elliott Rogers.

The offense exploded in the second quarter with two touchdown runs from Huston and another from Landon Montroy, giving Monmouth-Roseville a 31-6 lead at halftime. The second half continued to trend the Titans’ way, as they added four more rushing touchdowns on their way to a dominant 57-14 victory.

Monmouth-Roseville was led on the ground by Nick Huston, who racked up a school record 282 rushing yards along with four rushing touchdowns and one passing score. Landon Montroy added two touchdowns of his own, and freshman Keshawn Crawford found the end zone for his first varsity touchdown.

The Titans will face their toughest test yet next week when they travel to Rockridge for a matchup between two undefeated Three Rivers powers.
