On Halloween night, the Monmouth Fire Department will host their annual Trunk or Treat event at Station 1, located at 601 Industrial Park Road, with other local organizations on site, reports Firefighter Kyle Martin and Assistant Chief Craig Cozadd:
“At the station on Halloween night, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, kids can stop by and trick-or-treat. The Monmouth firefighters will be there handing out candy,” states Martin.
“We have the police there and GHAS usually comes over as well and OSF has been there. The good thing about this setup is, the whole trunk or treat situation is really awesome anyone because it is a one stop shop, but ours is inside. The weather isn’t a factor. We invite everyone to enjoy that, and traffic isn’t a danger or anything like that either,” Cozadd adds.
The Monmouth Fire Department’s Trunk or Treat coincides with the City of Monmouth’s Trick-or-Treating hours, which are 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
