The 5th Annual Native Seed Share brought together conservation enthusiasts from across the region to exchange native seeds, share knowledge, and strengthen community efforts to restore local ecosystems. This year’s event showcased a remarkable turnout, highlighting the growing commitment to biodiversity and sustainable land stewardship.

This year’s Seed Share brought together over 30 participants from 13 counties, exchanging more than 100 species of native seeds—a testament to the growing passion and foresight of local conservationists, gardeners, and land stewards. The event continues to serve as a vital platform for sharing resources, building partnerships, and empowering individuals to act in restoring native habitats.

“Each seed represents a step toward healthier ecosystems and stronger communities,” said Kate Budde, Extension program coordinator. “We’re thrilled to see such dedication and collaboration from participants across the region.”

The Native Seed Share is part of a broader effort to support pollinators, reduce invasive species, and improve soil and water health. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about seed collection, storage, and planting techniques, while connecting with others who share a commitment to conservation.
