Monmouth’s Downtown Square will literally be a Winter Wonderland this Friday, December 5th during the annual Christmas on the Square event with the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Andrea Monroe shares the evenings returning favorites along with some new attractions:

“Starting off the night at five o’clock with some dancers from the Dancer’s Studio and then we will have the little pageant. We will have some singers from Monmouth-Roseville. We will do the tree lighting. We have a blow-up train, the horse and carriages are back, we have a Rudolph the Red Nosed Bucking Bull, and of course we will have balloon animals and cotton candy,” states Monroe.

“The businesses, they are our golden hour, that is what we are always trying to spotlight, so go around and see what they have to offer. Also, this year Robbins Resource Management is sponsoring Santa, so he will be inside. There will be food trucks, popcorn, hot chocolate, games, and a lot of the businesses are doing giveaways. We also brought back the scavenger hunt this year,” Monroe adds.

The annual Christmas on the Square event will take place from 5 to 8 pm this Friday night with the tree lighting ceremony being held at 6 pm.
