A lack of attorneys has been a challenge for the region, and one Warren County heritage Law Firm is introducing two new local attorneys to help fill the void. Clark and Glasgow Attorneys at Law, led by Steve Glasgow and founder David Reid Clark have announced the addition of Chris Colburn a graduate of Knox College and Zach Vancil a graduate of Monmouth College to their criminal defense team. Vancil shares his background and career path:

“I graduated from West Central High School in 2017. I decided to stay local and went to Monmouth College. I ran track under Coach Haynes there when he was still the head coach. I graduated in 2021 from there and decided to follow in my father’s footsteps and go down to Southern Illinois University School of Law and graduated in December of 2023. Fast tracked it a little bit, did a couple of internships here at the Law Firm and decided to make it a stable spot for me upon graduation and came back and have been working there ever since. We really needed some more assistance. We saw Chris around at the courthouse and decided to bring him on over,” states Vancil.

Colburn says he is working on juvenile abuse and neglect cases based on his experience.

“Someone or at least have the opportunity to get someone that knows what they are doing, has some expertise, and can say how things have generally been going. I was grateful for my opportunity to get that experience in those kinds of cases and the family law adjacent cases, not quite family law, but those juvenile cases where DCFS is involved when things are pretty high stakes. I am happy to bring that experience to the firm and I am happy to bring experience in a lot of felony, misdemeanor cases that I got the opportunity to do as well,” Colburn informs.

Clark and Glasgow is located on the square in downtown Monmouth.
