The Warren County Public Library is starting a new holiday initiative to help make sure local children have a book under the tree this Christmas. Retired history teacher and professor Tom Best shares more.
“I went down to talk to the library, and I said, I’ve got this idea. What if we put a box out, and people who had slightly used books and would like to donate them, or people who would like to buy a slightly used book, could put it in there. We’ve already filled up two boxes full of books. The idea is you can come in and drop them off, and then parents can come in and pick out a book to take with their children, and they can wrap it up and put it under the tree so their child will have a book for Christmas.”
If you would like to donate a book, the Warren County Public Library is located at 62 Public Square in Monmouth. Book pickup will take place in the middle of December.
