For the month of December, the WMOI/WRAM School Spotlight, which is courtesy of the Regional Office of Education #33 and MTC Communications, highlighted West Central Middle School. While the students are currently on winter break, Principal Brittney DeWeese shares the students will hit the ground running when they return:

“For athletics, we have boys’ basketball in season, and we have volleyball that has started with practices; games will be starting when they return from break. Look at other types of activities, we go into choir and band that have solo and ensemble starting up soon, we do a Middle School play, which they start practicing shortly after we return from break and the play is in May, and then we also have scholastic bowl. Scholastic Bowl starts in March as well, which is a trivia-based, academic pursuit.”

Around 171 students are enrolled at West Central Middle School.
