The Monmouth-Roseville Titans boys basketball squad has flipped a switch since suffering a first-round loss to Illini West in the Macomb Western Holiday Tournament back on December 27.
Since that loss, the Titans have rattled off five straight wins, averaging 58.4 points per game and winning by an average margin of 21.8 points. The run has pushed Monmouth-Roseville to 6-7 on the season after starting the year just 1-7.
The surge has also coincided with the return of key starter Lars Bergren, who missed time after suffering an injury late in the football season and had been sidelined until recently.
The Titans will look to keep the momentum rolling tonight as they head to Sherrard for a TRAC West matchup with the Tigers. It will be a tough test, as Sherrard currently sits atop the division at 3-0 in conference play. Head Coach Chuck Grant shares the keys for his team picking up a road win tonight.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast live on Sunny 97.7 and online at radiomonmouth.com. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30.
Looking ahead, the Titans will have a week off following tonight’s contest before returning to the hardwood next Friday at home against Rockridge.
