New Income Limit Could Mean Tax Savings for More Warren County Seniors

Share

The limit on the income-based property tax exemption available for seniors in Warren County has increased, explains Kimberly, Supervisor of Assessments:

“One of our exemptions for our seniors, the income based one, which is separate from the general one, the income limit on it went up to $75,000. Previously it had been $65,000. So, beginning 2026, which you will see on the bill in 2027, the income limit has gone up to $75,000,” says Kimberly.

“If you are not sure what your income is; if you file a federal income tax return, just grab that, bring it with you, bring the form with you because if you are a registered general senior, we mailed out the senior freeze form last month. If you are not sure, bring it with you and we will help you do the math and fill out the form. We can do everything but sign it for you,” Kimberly adds.
