The 2025 tax season was the highest tax collection year in the past six years for Warren County, informs Treasurer and Collector Danielle Cox:
“Myself and my staff, we have a 99.97 percent collection rate, which is wonderful. Along with that, I think what helped was this year was the first year that we sent out friendly reminder postcards. Prior to the delinquent letters that citizens get that charge you an extra ten dollars, we decided to send out friendly reminder postcards. That was key. It was successful. We are going to continue to do that,” says Cox.
“We sent out 612 of those friendly reminder postcards. Then when it came time in the timeline that we did delinquent notices, we sent out 387. So, by the time December 30th rolled around and we had our tax sale, only 218 parcels went to the tax sale. That was roughly a little over $275,000,” Cox adds.
Over 14,000 parcels are taxed in Warren County and over $40 million was collected in 2025.
