The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run incident that occurred on State Highway 522, also known as Carman Road, near the Carman Cemetery.
At approximately 6:30 PM on February 7th, 2026, Deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was transported for medical evaluation and treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
Very limited information is available at this time regarding the vehicle involved. Deputies are continuing to investigate and are asking for the public’s assistance.
Anyone who may have been traveling on State Highway 522 in the area of Carman Cemetery during the time of the incident, or who may have seen a vehicle with fresh damage or behaving suspiciously, is urged to contact the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office at 309-867-4291.
