Arrest In Hit And Run Accident

A Little York man was arrested on Sunday (August 25th) in connection with a hit and run accident that took place on August 21st south of Little York. 

Jeremi  Jackson, 48, of rural Little York is accused of striking Kurtis Garnsey, 18, of Kirkwood, who was walking along Illinois Route 135 at about 9:30 PM. Garnsey was treated at OSF Hospital and later released.  Jackson was arrested at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and was cited for leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to report the accident, and failure to give aid.  At a court hearing on Monday, bond was set at five thousand dollars.

All persons accused of a criminal offense are presumed innocent until such time they are proven guilty.
