Financial assistance options for those who use insulin

Share

SPRINGFIELD – Americans who face financial difficulties paying for their insulin with the New Year reset of their insurance plans could find some financial assistance options by contacting one of the companies that manufactures it, according to State Sen. Jil Tracy (R-Quincy).

“In all forms, diabetes and its treatments can be difficult. For those with insurance plans that have high deductibles, and for those who do not have insurance, it can be very difficult to afford insulin and other treatments,” said Tracy. “However, Eli Lilly & Company is providing some options.”

Lilly CEO Dave Ricks recently published an open letter in media around the nation encouraging those who need help affording their monthly prescription of Lilly insulin to call the Lilly Diabetes Solution Center where they can find cost-saving options that meet their personal circumstances. That letter can be found by clicking here.

More information about the awareness campaign is available at the company’s Web site or by calling the Lilly Diabetes Solution Center at 833-808-1234.
