Illinois, Iowa Tip-off Basketball Season on Wednesday

Tenth-ranked Illinois is set to open its season tonight by taking on North Carolina A&T at the State Farm Center. The game is part of a multi-team event that also includes Chicago State and Ohio. All four teams will play three games in three days. The Illini have posted an all-time record of 101-and-14 in season openers.

Number-six Iowa basketball will take on NC Central at Carver-Hawkeye Arena tonight in its season opener. The Hawkeyes will host Southern on Friday and remain home next Thursday to host Western Illinois.
