Elizabeth “Liz” A. Gudeman, 72 of Elkhorn, WI died Sunday April 17, 2022 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  She was born May 1, 1949 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of the late Lewis E. and Mary G. (Barry) Ishmael.  She was united in marriage to Herman H. Gudeman on September 15, 1973 in Quincy, IL.  For over 17 years Liz worked as receptionist for Holton Manor Nursing Home Elkhorn, WI.  She was a devote member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn, WI involved with the bible study and the book club.  She enjoyed scrapbooking.  Her greatest joy in life was her family, Liz was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Herman, two sons: Craig (Michelle) Gudeman of Appleton, WI and Scott D. Gudeman of Platteville, WI.  Her two granddaughters Samantha and Haley; and by her five siblings, Martha (Butch) Crain of Kirkwood, IL, Richard Ishmael of Monmouth, IL, Bill (Sheron) Ishmael of Monmouth, IL, Edward Ishmael of Oquawka, IL, and Dean (Phyllis) Ishmael of Morristown, TN and by a host of other relatives and friends.  Liz was preceded in death by her brother Raymond.   Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday May 2, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol officiating.  Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until time of services.  Burial will be 2:00 PM Tuesday May 3, 2022 at St. Mary’s Cemetery 401 E. Harlem Ave Monmouth, IL.  Memorials may be made in Elizabeth’s name to: DAV-PAV Disabled American Veterans 1253 Scheuring Road Suite #A  DePere, WI 54115.  Online guestbook can be found at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory Elkhorn, WI.
