Helen Marie (Hall) Eagle, age 71 of Galesburg, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 14, 2022 around noon.
She was born on November 27, 1950 in Galesburg, the daughter of Clifton D. and Elsie M. (Wells) Hall. She attended Gilson Grade School, then Knoxville High School and then attended and graduated from Carl Sandburg College as an LPN.
Surviving are her daughters, Kimberly Howerton of Galesburg, and Misty (Joseph) Haneghan of Galesburg; four grandchildren: Chris (Jessica) Bruington of Galesburg, Eric Bruington of Galesburg, Toby (Angel) Keith of Galesburg, and Josie Haneghan of Galesburg, six great grandchildren: Makenna and Brandon Bruington, Aiden Baker, Kholby Keith, Isla Tarrant, and Kaysyn Keith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Tony Ray (Fields), one granddaughter, Sabrina Keith, and two brothers, Ron and Bill Hall.
She worked as an LPN for the former Research Mental Health and Cottage Hospital of Galesburg, St. Mary’s Medical Center and many nursing homes in the area for throughout her working career. She was a supporter of the Guardian Angels. She enjoyed decorating for Holidays, mostly Halloween, listening to music, watching movies and cooking for everyone. She adored her cats. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they called her “Nana”. She will be greatly missed.
Memorials services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilson Cemetery, Gilson with Rev. Jordan Knight officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family.
