Abingdon-Avon Girls Basketball Readies for Life Without Brook Pieper

Share

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado girls basketball squad finished the 2022-2023 season with a record of (19-14), just missing a +20-win season in back-to-back years. Head coach of the Tornadoes, Brent Dugan, has amassed 85 wins and just 48 losses in 4 and a half seasons with the A-Town girls basketball program.

Dugan will be heading up a young roster in the next school year, as the program lost a talented group of four players that graduated in the May. That group was led by 4-year starter 6-1 post player Brook Pieper. Pieper scored well over 1,000 points and hauled in over 1,000 rebounds during her tenure at A-Town. She was joined by fellow senior Lexi Hunter on the Lincoln Trail All-Conference teams. Coach Dugan is looking forward to the challenge of molding a new roster.
