The Monmouth-Roseville boys soccer team is getting ready to start postseason action this weekend. The Titans will play one last regular season game tomorrow at home, a makeup game with the Beardstown Tigers, before hosting regional action on Saturday, October 14th at Patee Fields in Monmouth. Lead by head coach Zach Statham in his 5th year at the school, Monmouth-Roseville has put together a very solid campaign throughout this 2023 fall season, compiling 16 wins with just 3 losses to very solid teams in Peoria Christian, Mendota, and Galesburg. All of those teams have a combined record of 51-12-5. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Titans Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson discussed the big upcoming week for M-R soccer, as they chase their first regional title since the 2018 season.
As mentioned the Titans will host the winner of tomorrow’s contest between Macomb and Canton on Saturday. If M-R wins that match they will move on to the regional championship game on the 18th, taking on either the 12-7-1 Abingdon-Avon Tornadoes or 8-10-2 Quincy Notre Dame. All games will be played at Patee Fields in Monmouth. For the full interview with Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson, visit the Sports Podcast section.
