The West Central Heat 8-man football team has had a nice rebound in the past few weeks since their 0-4 start earlier in the season. The Heat’s recent run of success started back on September 22nd when West Central rolled through Galva 56-6, continued on with a 36-34 win the following week over Bushnell-Prairie City on homecoming night, then continued last Friday night when the Heat put up 69 points in a commanding win over Decatur Lutheran/Mt.Pulaski. After their recent hot streak West Central now sits at 3-4 overall on the season, heading into a big Saturday afternoon match with 5-2 Milford/Cissna Park. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Heat Head Coach Jason Kirby placed a point of emphasis on stopping the big plays on Saturday, as West Central looks to contain the explosiveness of the Bearcats offense.

West Central’s Saturday contest vs Milford/Cissna Park will kick-off from West Central High School in Biggsville at 1:00. You can the hear action from that 8-man contest live on Sunny 97.7 WMOI, coverage will begin with the pregame show at 12:40.
