McDonough District Hospital announced that Emily Mynatt, FNP-C has joined the medical staff on a full-time basis. She joins the OB/GYN Clinic, focusing on women’s health, and is accepting new patients.

No stranger to MDH, Mynatt had worked in the MDH Convenience Clinic as a registry staff member since May 2023. She will continue to provide coverage in the Convenience Clinic as needed.

“We are excited to have Emily joining our incredible group of providers in our OB/GYN clinic. She will be instrumental in helping us meet the growing demand for OB/GYN services in our community,” said Brian E. Dietz, FACHE, MDH President/Chief Executive Officer. “We are very pleased with the ongoing growth of these services over the last four years and with Emily’s help expect this trend to continue for years to come.”

She received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Graceland University in August 2022. Mynatt earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate’s Degree from Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.

Mynatt has worked in primary care/family medicine since earning her Nurse Practitioner license. During her nursing career she has worked in: Emergency Room, women’s health, and long-term care.

In 2012 she earned her Medical Assistant diploma, and her nursing career began in May 2015.
