The Following Preliminary Information is being released by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓: Two Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄: 1600 Block of US Highway 150E
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍: 8/12/2025 at 15:54hrs
𝐕𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒:
Unit 1: Orange Kubota Side by Side
Unit 2: Silver 2013 Chrysler Sedan
DRIVERS:
Unit 1: 75-year-old male, Gilson, IL- Pronounced deceased on scene.
Unit 2: 24-year-old male, Galesburg, IL – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
PASSENGERS: None
𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐘: Preliminary information indicates Unit 1 crossed the road southbound in front of Unit 2, which was eastbound on the Highway, resulting in a collision.
Names are not being released at this time, pending next of kin notifications.
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐒: Pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
The following agencies assisted at the scene: GHAS, Knoxville Fire/First Responders, Williamsfield Fire, Oak Run First Responders, Illinois State Police and the Knox County Coroner.
