Beginning Thursday, January 4th at the Roseville American Legion, Brad Beard and Carol Parrish will host an eight week class on Biblical Citizenship in Modern American. Chaplain Beard shares the classes will dive into what it means to be a citizen in the United States with discussions on current events along with the Constitution:

“This will dwell primarily around the Constitution and the faith that our forefathers had in their God fearing faith to set the Constitution into place.”

The Biblical Citizenship in Modern American is a national program through Patriot Academy. Local Facilitator Carol Parrish explains topics the class will cover:

“We are going to revisit the pilgrim history. We will do the three branches of government, which is legislative, judicial, and executive; the Bill of Rights and of course go through the amendments, what our five rights are that are guaranteed in the First Amendment, and then some of the topics will cover our rights versus what is a privilege, and lots more.”

The Biblical Citizenship in Modern American classes at the Roseville American Legion will be held weekly on Thursdays for eight weeks beginning January 4th through the end of February. A light meal will be served beginning at 5 pm with the class to follow at 6 to 7:30 pm.
