Monmouth College Renovates Presbyterian House

Share

While our students are away for spring break enjoying some rest and relaxation, an exciting new project has begun.

Renovation of the former Presbyterian House is underway to become the new home for the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. The Illinois Gamma Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon will join several other fraternities and sororities as a modern-day Greek Row for Monmouth College.

The resilience and dedication to meeting the fundraising goals of this project show the strong leadership of the members of the chapter. Together with our Development Team, they raised 100% of their $450,000 fundraising goal!

Renovations and upgrades include:

🔴A new roof and exterior windows

⚫️Rebuilt front porch

🔴Installation of a sprinkler system

⚫️Updates to the kitchen, library, study area, bathrooms, laundry area, and bedrooms, as well as new furnishings

🔴Current garage remodeled into the Chapter Ritual and Education Annex

⚫️Landscaping and remodeled sidewalks

🔴Accessibility features

The home is scheduled to be move-in ready by Fall of 2026. For more information on this project, or to make donations to the endowment maintenance fund for the home, visit: https://www.monmouthcollege.edu/give/sig-ep-house-fund/
