Tensions are high as parents expressed their concerns about a transgender student who made the girls’ volleyball team at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates. Members of the public showed up to a school board meeting for School District 211 Wednesday night to voice their opinions about the transgender student athlete. The meeting got so heated that police escorted a woman in the audience from the room. The controversy comes after President Trump signed an executive order earlier this year banning transgender women from competing in female sports.
