Join the Galesburg Area Chamber of Commerce for their Business After Hours event at the Sandburg Student Center, 2400 Tom L Wilson BLVD in Galesburg.

The Abingdon-Avon FFA will be hosting their plant sale Friday, May 2nd 3:30 to 6 pm and Saturday, May 3rd 8 am to 11 am. Hanging baskets $25. Planter pots $20. Individual vegetable pots $2 (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and zucchini).

Dine-in, carry-out, or drive-thru at the McDonough County Fairgrounds, 3022 West Jackson Street in Macomb, and support the McDonough County 4-H. Serving pork chop sandwiches, baked beans, applesauce, dessert, and drinks. Tickets are available from 4-H members or at the door. Cost is $7 ahead or $8 at the door.

Join the Buchanan Community Chorus for a presentation of 'Let the Light Shine' at the Heritage Bible Church in Monmouth, 302 East Broadway for a freewill donation. Carolyn Kellert is the Chorus Director, Joy Boostrom the Assistant Chorus Director, and Lenna Burnett the Chorus Accompanist.

The OSF Holy Family Auxiliary are hosting their RADA Cutlery Sale, featuring knives and kitchen utensils, food mixes, and cookbooks. Catalogs are available in the hospital gift shop at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. Proceeds benefit scholarships for local students and items needed for the hospital. The cutlery sale ends May 9th.

All are invited for the All You Can Eat Soup Supper at the Monmouth American Legion. Serving chili, spinach bisque, vegetable beef, chicken and noodles, and slopy joe sandwiches. Cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. (All You Can Eat is soup and sandwiches only, not dessert.)

Held rain or shine in the parking lot at the Lake Storey Pavilion. A free car seat check will also be performed by the Galesburg Police Department and Regional Office of Education Certified Car Seat Technicians. No appointment needed. Find them at the three shelters northeast of the Lake Storey Pavilion.
