Knox County Economic Development Update

Culver’s is coming to Galesburg. The restaurant will be located where the old 1st Choice Medical building was on North Henderson Street, at the Fremont intersection. Ken Springer, President of the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development, shares Culver’s is set to open early next year and will be hiring around 100 employees.

Other businesses in the Galesburg area are searching to fill positions, including many positions with the Regional Office of Education. The ROE is looking to hire bus drivers, paraprofessionals, and substitute teachers. Springer states the ROE will be hosting two job fairs:

“The ROE is going to be hosting a job fair early next month on September 13th from 4pm to 7pm at Silas Willard in Galesburg. Then again on September 20th at Lincoln Early Childhood School in Monmouth from 4pm to 7pm,” Springer says.
