Here’s the WMOI/WRAM/WAIK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 30th, 2018:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Camryn Jones. Camryn’s performance in five matches at the Orion Charger Challange landed her on the All-Tournament team. She filled up the stat sheet with 19 total kills, 14 points from the service line and hustled her way to 26 digs for the tournament.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is sophomore boys golfer, Drew Brown. Drew placed 3rd individually in the United Red Storm Open. His score of 85 on his home course of Gibson Woods helped the Red Storm claim the team championship. He’s hoping to carry that momentum into this week’s regional tournament.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is sophomore girls golfer, Emma Keever. Emma was the top placing West Central golfer at the United Red Storm Open at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth. She has been the low-scoring Heat player in every meet so far this season.

The A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is sophomore cross country runner, Hunter Mason. Hunter crossed the finish line in 33rd place in the Prairieland Conference Championships. He ran a time of 18:40.77 for the 3-mile course. He ran an even faster time in a 94th place finish out of 226 runners at the Elmwood Invitational.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week, presented by Toyota, is senior girls golfer, Kirsten Osborn. Kirsten won the Western Big Six Conference championship for the 2nd year in row, shooting a round of 76 at Westview Golf Course in Quincy. She finished her successful Western Big Six career with two firsts, a second and third place in four tournament appearances.
