The Regional Office of Education and Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center are hosting an event called “Live Well, Teach Well” on August 9 at Carl Sandburg College.
The event is modeled like a summit, with morning sessions will focus on teachers and their mental health. The afternoon will focus on teachers helping their students with their mental health.
Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center’s Jill McClintock tells us what inspired her to create this event.
“This event was inspired the Discover Wellness Summit that Bridgeway hosted in April. I attended it on behalf of Lincoln Prairie as a vendor, and when I was attending this event (it was during the school year on a Friday) I just thought this would be an awesome event for the teachers.”
Individuals can register at the professional development calendar on the Regional Office of Education website roe33.net.
