New Bookstore Coming Soon to Galesburg

Share

A new bookstore is opening in Galesburg in August that has Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer “excited”.

Wordsmith Bookshoppe, an independent bookstore that will sell 55 different genres of books and 1,500 magazine titles, are remodeling the space formerly owned by Ride and Run on 235 East Main Street.

Springer says Wordsmith Bookshoppe will be an asset to the community.

“It’s going to be a nice addition to downtown Galesburg and I think residents and vistiors alike are going to be able to visit and browse and pick up anything they need from the print category. That’s a really cool project.”

Updates of the renovation can be found on the Wordsmith Bookshop’s Facebook page.
