Ermadean M. Hull, age 93, of Biggsville, Illinois; passed away at 8:55
pm on August 20, 2019 at the Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab Center in
Stronghurst, Illinois. She was born on May 23, 1926 in Lee County, Iowa
and is the daughter of William Glen “Slim” and Elma Ruth Leazer Denly.
Ermadean was raised in Biggsville where she attended Biggsville schools
and graduated from the Biggsville High School with the class of 1944.
She and Parker have been members of the Biggsville United Presbyterian
Church for many years. Ermadean married Parker W. Hull on August 17,
1944 in Burlington, Iowa and he preceded her in his death on August 24,
2006. Ermadean first worked at Rankin’s Grocery Store in Biggsville,
Illinois and later worked at Weir Fruit Farm near Gladstone. For many
years she was a self employed seamstress and had a fabric shop in the
basement of their home in Biggsville, Illinois. She made clothes for her
children and grandchildren,and herself. Ermadean was a den mother for
cub scouts in Biggsville, and enjoyed crafting, making doll houses for
the granddaughters, and crocheting. She was involved for many years with
the craft bazaar held at Hend-Co Hills golf course in Biggsville,
Illinois. She crocheted many afghans and angels for Christmas tree tops.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She spent many
hours watching her children and grandchildren participate in sporting
events and often worked in the concession stand. She enjoyed vacationing
in Estes Park, Colorado for many years with Parker.  She did mending for
many residents of the Henderson County area. For many years she also did
mending at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab. While living at Oak Lane,
Ermadean was nominated in 1999 to the Western Illinois Area Agency on
Aging 1999 Gallery of Ageless Achievers.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Frank) Jones of Biggsville,
Illinois and her son, Harold “Bill” (Sharon) Hull of Galesburg,
Illinois, and her daughter in law, Nancy, and the late Eddie Hull of
Biggsville, Illinois. There are five grandchildren, Brian (Scott
Altofer) Jones, Mark (Shawna) Jones, Michael Hull, Sara (Paul McVey)
Hull, and Amy Hull. There are six great grandchildren, Michael (Mickey)
Hull, Ernie Garza, Jessica Garza, JoaquinCortez, Parker and Safia Jones,
and Richard Domenici. Two great great-grandchildren are surviving,
Jerico and Julia. Ermadean is preceded in her death by her parents,
Husband Parker, Son Eddie, and granddaughter Julia.

A funeral service is planned for 2:30 PM on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at
the Biggsville United Presbyterian Church in Biggsville, Illinois.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.
Interment will be in the Biggsville Township Cemetery. A memorial is
being established for the Biggsville United Presbyterian Church. For
