Mildred M. “Milly” Holford, age 87, of Biggsville, IL; passed away at
10:26 Am on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care
Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on August 26, 1932 in
Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Tharen Wayne and Letta Mae
(Schumberger) Hull. Milly attended local country schools and graduated
from Kirkwood High School with the Class of 1950. On July 8, 1950, she
married Donald E. Holford in Kirkwood, Illinois, and he preceded her in
death on August 4, 2002.

Milly worked as a secretary for a local insurance company for a time.
She also worked with Donald managing the farms in Henderson and Warren
County for many years. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian
Church. Milly enjoyed playing golf, traveling, visiting with friends,
working in her yard, traveling, and eating ice cream. Mostly, she loved
her family and grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was the
Christmas season.

Milly is survived by two daughters; Carla (Russ) Gardner of Biggsville,
Illinois and Gail Howell of St. Louis, Missouri, one son, Mark (Vickie)
Holford of Gladstone, Illinois, two grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in
death by her parents, husband, and one granddaughter, Brooke.

A graveside service is planned for 10:30 AM on Friday, September 20,
2019 at Center Grove Cemetery in Kirkwood, Illinois. No visitation is
