P. Gregory “Pinky” Ford, 64, of Galesburg, died at 10:06 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019, at home.

He was born May 2, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Paul and Mildred (Carr) Ford.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew Ford of Moline and Aaron Ford of Galesburg; a granddaughter, Quinn Alivia Ford; the mother of his sons, Lynn Dresen of Galesburg; and a brother, Gavin Ford in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Greg graduated from Knoxville High School in 1973. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Monmouth College. He held a variety of jobs over the years, most notably as an on-air radio personality. Pinky was an accomplished musician, playing guitar in several bands.

Cremation will be accorded. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.
