WRAM/WMOI High School Athletes of the Week for Week ending Sept. 1, 2019

Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 1, 2019:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Delaney Woodard. Delaney was named to the Macomb Bomber Classic Volleyball All-Tournament team for her passing ability. She led her team in assists for the tournament, while the Titans got 3rd place, going (3-2) for the weekend.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior cross country runner, Anne Gregory. Anne began her final season of high school cross country with a first place finish at the Farmington Invitational. Her time across the 5K course was 18:48.5 and was a full 20 seconds faster than the runner up time.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior volleyball player, Megan Schaley. Megan filled up the stat sheet in her team’s win over Galesburg Christian. Her fantastic play at the net included smashing 13 kills. Megan also hustled her way to 11 digs, while serving two aces.

The Abingdon-Avon Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is sophomore football player, Easten Schisler. Easten had a great night catching the football in his team’s win over the Bushnell-Prairie City/West Prairie co-op. He hauled in eight passes for an amazing 174 yards. Easten also scored a pair of touchdowns as well.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior volleyball player, Brynn Atwell. Brynn’s great performance at the Quincy Early Bird Tournament was good enough to place her on the All-Tournament Team. She hustled her way to 39 digs in the five matches, including 16 in a win over Kirksville, MO.
