Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 29th, 2019:

Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Rashaun King. Rashaun took over at quarterback early in the Titan’s 21-7 win over Bureau Valley. He scored all 21 points for his team, rushing for three touchdowns and kicking three extra points. Rashaun also threw for 98 yards.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Jackson Bergren. Jackson had fantastic night catching the football in a narrow Lincoln Trail Conference loss to Mid-County. He had six receptions for 58 yards and scored the lone touchdown for the Red Storm.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week junior volleyball player, Mady Reed. In a busy week that included 6 matches, Mady averaged 8 kills per contest. She also had a great week from the service line and totaled three matches of double digit digs. She’s averaging over ten digs per match this season.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior football player, Lukas Tinkham. Lukas was efficient as you can get from the quarterback position in a homecoming game win over South Fulton. He was 10-for-12 throwing the ball for 163 yards. Lukas threw for five touchdowns.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is sophomore football player, Grant Aten. Filling in for his injured older brother at quarterback, Grant threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns in a narrow overtime loss to Quincy. He also did some damage with his legs, rushing for 28 yards and another score.
