Heat Boys’ Basketball Underway

The West Central Heat Boys’ Basketball season begins tonight as they opened up at the Williamsfield Thanksgiving Tournament. Head Coach Mike Kelley is pumped for the season with good numbers this year:

“We are sitting at about ten guys that I can play. Then we will bring up Freshman and possibly some Sophomores to fill in that varsity roster. Having the opportunity to get them some experience, but the numbers are good. The numbers are really good down at the Fresh/Soph level. We had over sixteen or seventeen kids that went out. So the numbers are absolutely where we want them to be over the next three to four years,” Kelley shares.

The Heat will finish out the week with ROWVA/Williamsfield Friday night and United on Saturday afternoon.
