Judith (Howard) Lambert, age 70, of Dahinda, Illinois, died at 12:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on June 13, 1949 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Calvin and Beverly (Smith) Howard.  She was reared and educated in the Williamsfield area, graduating from the Williamsfield High School in 1967.  On November 9, 1968, Judith was married to Dale Lambert at the Dahinda United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish Judith’s memory is her loving husband of fifty-one years, Dale Lambert of Dahinda; their three children: Brian Lambert, Greg (and Amber Varner) Lambert, Stacy Lambert, all of Dahinda; five grandchildren: Calvin and Carter Lambert, Bryce Varner, Madisyn and Riggs Lambert, all of Dahinda; and one brother, Scott Howard of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ronnie Howard.

After graduating high school, Judith worked as a secretary for Continental, a clothing store, for seven years.  She then went on to open and run Baskets and Bouquets, which she proudly owned and operated for over ten years.  She was a dedicated member of the Dahinda United Methodist Church and the Firemen’s Auxiliary of Dahinda.  Judith was a proud and lifelong Cubs fan and one heck of a pitch player.  She enjoyed gambling, and was lucky there, too.  She will be remembered for her wonderful talent of making crafts and arranging beautiful floral designs.  More than anything else, however, Judith loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois.  The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Trenton Corners Cemetery, Knox County, Illinois.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Online condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
